His still photography work for AMI not only changed the portrayal of athletic women in media but also left a lasting mark on the industry. He was the lead photographer for FLEX magazine for 5 years, re-inventing how athletic women are portrayed, he made people rip out the pages of the magazines and staple them to their gym wall.

Pavel Ythjall’s journey is truly inspiring, showcasing both his talents and resilience in the face of adversity. After graduating with honors from the prestigious University of Gothenburg, he made a significant impact in the music video industry in the MTV era.

The tragic accident that affected both him and his wife is heartbreaking, yet he has found strength through creativity, publishing a best-selling book and creating an award winning documentary.

His ongoing efforts, including seeking financing for a feature film based on his experiences, demonstrate his determination and ability to channel personal challenges into compelling narratives.

Pavel Ythjall is available for freelance work, as a director or still photographer. He can also take on small to midsize productions via his company Strong with Kat (1K – 100K) i.e: interviews, corporate presentations, event documentation, commercials etc.
